STRETCHERS

West Marine - Stretcher. West Marine hoisting stretcher has been developed to transport injured personnel within the maritime environment. It is developed in co-operation with surgeon commander H. O. Bisgaard-Frantzen, The Danish Navy special forces.

- The stretcher can be stored folded in a rucksack making it easy to stow and transport. - With the stretcher kept in the rucksack the paramedics can easily bring it in position to assist the injured person.  - The stretcher can be assembled and mad ready for use very quickly ensuring efficient fixation of the patient.  - The lifting straps are designed to hoist the stretcher horizontally, vertically or in an angle of 45 degrees making it possible to recover persons from narrow spaces. - In water the inflatable bags will turn the stretcher around with the patient’s face up and keep it floating.  - The stretcher is equipped with a neoprene hood, and an efficient spray-hood enhancing the chances for survival and preventing the patient from chilling.
