The BRUDE MES Chute system is used for evacuation heights from 3 - 19 m. and are suitable for vessel like ROPAX and double ended ferries. Capacity from 150-450 pax with one chute. All operations regarding manning of the system is manual and can be carried out by two crew members. . The BRUDE MES slide systems uses the same liferafts as the other MES systems and are suitable in evacuation heights from 1,5 to 3 metres. The slide system is are used on HSC catamarans and double ended ferries. . All systems are tested in accordance with all relevant requirements under the supervision of See Berufs Genossenshaft (SBG) as the notifying body, and consequently all systems are EC-type approved. . Brude Safety AS runs an extensive system of replacement rafts so that the vessels can continue operations uninterrupted.

An abandoned vessel is one of many challenges to salvors. In many cases an emergency towing connection to a salvage tug is the only string preventing a total loss of ship and cargo, as well as harm to the environment. For centuries the salvors had to board the abandoned vessel to establish the emergency salvage connection, a hazardous task putting lives at risk. A great number of vessels have suffered total loss after being abandoned. The associated cost to the shipping industry and its underwriters are substantial. Fortunately no drifting vessel has so far hit an offshore oil -or gas installation. A challenge to the salvage industry is to connect a towing line to a drifting vessel. For salvors onboard a disabled vessel, sudden sinking is a lurking nightmare. The patented solution is simple: A helicopter drop of the connector - MiCon on the abandoned vessel. This implies the highest standards for the salvor’s safety and permits emergency salvage connection under, - upto now, prohibitive conditions. A sturdy chain dropped around the windlass or another strong point aboard. The towing line complete with chain forerunner and superfibre hawser is then stretched out ending in a floating buoy, and the Sea Anchor to reduce the drifting speed and turn the bow up against the weather to increase the chances of a successful salvage operation.

Miko 2 x 50 Ton Re-floating System (2 x 50 T BS) A re-floating operation of a sunken or partly sunken structure is a challenging operation. High attention is paid to safety and, - when on site, a high cost crane vessel must work efficiently. A combination of crane vessels and this re-floating system, will reduce the time for the actual lifting operation as well as it reduces the need for crane capacity. The Miko 2 x 50T Re-Float System is characterised by its simplicity in the design and flexibility in use, - makes it easy for divers (or ROV’s) to install and monitor during the entire operation. All components can be handcarried (less than 50 kg in air), but at the same time the most reliable fabrics and materials are used.

The Miko “Salvage Kit” provides the salvor with a set of tools allowing him to patch openings even if the damaged area consists of cracks and ruptures with sharp edges, un-even surfaces, protrutions and indents. Miko’s integrated Sea-Anchor provides increased chances for a successful salvage operation. The combination of a sea-anchor (with diameter up to 30 meters), the synthetic fibre towing line and the pick-up buoy solution provides the salvor more time and when in place, a fast and secure way to connect and start the tow. REGATTA THERMO CRUISE BABY 2010 Thermo Cruise Baby 2010 is designed and developed together with parents and their babies to make sure that the product is comfortable to wear and easy to don in an emergency situation. The lifejacket has been certified to the new SOLAS regulations MSC 200(80), which come into force in July 2010. Thermo Cruise Baby 2010 is a soft, comfortable lifejacket with thermal protection to help prevent hypothermia REGATTA THERMO CRUISE ADULT When a person is immersed in cold water, there are three critical phases that can occur; initial cold-shock, hypothermia and drowning. Regatta Thermo Cruise is specifically developed to prevent these three phases through its extra insulating properties and correct floating position. REGATTA KON-TIKI ROYAL 2010 The lifejacket ”Regatta Kon Tiki Royal” has after extensive testing been approved by US Coastguard according to the new standard MSC 200(80) which is entering into force in 2010. Regatta has also achieved MED-B certificate for Kon-Tiki Royal, and is the first and so far the only company in the world to offer a lifejacket for passenger ships with the two approvals on the same product. Regatta AS is the only manufacturer outside of USA that also has a former approval from USCG for passenger lifejackets. The tests have been performed by Underwriters Laboratories in North Carolina, USA. The new regulation will enter into force for all new buildings after 2010 and will be standard for passenger- and cruise ships all over the world. REGATTA THERMO CRUISE BABY 2010 Thermo Cruise Baby 2010 is designed and developed together with parents and their babies to make sure that the product is comfortable to wear and easy to don in an emergency situation. The lifejacket has been certified to the new SOLAS regulations MSC 200(80), which come into force in July 2010. Thermo Cruise Baby 2010 is a soft, comfortable lifejacket with thermal protection to help prevent hypothermia. REGATTA THERMO CRUISE ADULT When a person is immersed in cold water, there are three critical phases that can occur; initial cold-shock, hypothermia and drowning. Regatta Thermo Cruise is specifically developed to prevent these three phases through its extra insulating properties and correct floating position. REGATTA KON-TIKI ROYAL 2010 correctly.The lifejacket ”Regatta Kon Tiki Royal” has after extensive testing been approved by US Coastguard according to the new standard MSC 200(80) which is entering into force in 2010. Regatta has also achieved MED-B certificate for Kon-Tiki Royal, and is the first and so far the only company in the world to offer a lifejacket for passenger ships with the two approvals on the same product. Regatta AS is the only manufacturer outside of USA that also has a former approval from USCG for passenger lifejackets. The tests have been performed by Underwriters Laboratories in North Carolina, USA. The new regulation will enter into force for all new buildings after 2010 and will be standard for passenger- and cruise ships all over the world. REGATTA IMMERSION SUIT The new requirements concerning immersion suits, in accordance with MSC Res. 152 (78) 2004, will come into force on 1st of July 2006. Regatta Immersion Suit is designed to comply with the IMO/SOLAS regulations and is fully approved. West Marine - PLT Pneumatic Line Thrower Air driven line throwing equipment has many advantages including high safety. Explosion proof, no sparks or flames make PLT suitable for use in environments with flammable liquids or gasses. The floatable projectiles can be re-loaded and used again. The equipment works very precisely even in strong crosswind. The costs are low as the line thrower is re-loaded with compressed air. Furthermore there is no expiring date or transportation limitations. Depending on the PLT model lines with different equipment such as a hook or an inflatable life buoy can be thrown out to distances between 30 and 230 m.
RESCUE SLINGS
West Marine - SULA Rescue Sling. SULA rescue sling is extremely efficient and simple to use in man-over-board (MOB) situations. The weight of the rescue sling is only 3 kg, and one person can operate it. The rescue is very useful in sea pilot vessels, patrol vessels, minor ferries, passenger vessels and fishing vessels. The rescue sling makes it possible to reach a person in the water up to 7 metres away. You catch the victim with the rescue sling, release a strap and tighten it around the person. The strap is fastened to a simple crane, which is used to recover the person in the water. The system can be used during most weather conditions. Norwegian and Danish rescue vessels, sea pilot vessels, and naval units use the rescue sling.
