For over 75 years, Alf I. Larsen has been a safe and reliable supplier of metalworking, workshop materials, workshop furnishings, transmissions and machines. The success story started in 1947 when Alf Ingolf Larsen registered the company that still bears his name. He focused mainly on problem solving for the local industry and was called the genius by the customers for his incredible ability to get everything they needed. Today, AIL has more than 40 employees and serves the entire country. Over the years, the company has linked up with national and international manufacturers of quality products, and operates to a large extent with direct import and sale of goods. The head office is located at Forus in Sandnes with a large warehouse and shop. In addition, there is a department with a shop and warehouse in Bryne, and a Bergen department with an office and showroom in Straume. 

AIL is today Norway's largest retailer of ball and roller bearings and among the four largest in cutting tools, in addition to belts, chains, couplings, saw blades, consultancy, service and courses. AIL is represented throughout the country with salespeople in the largest regions in Norway. Among the largest customers are Rolls-Royce, Volvo Aero Norge, Frank Mohn and Equinor, in addition to a number of local companies in the Stavanger region and Rogaland.
