The system offers precise information about the position of the ship, and includes intuitive route planning functions, ensuring optimal navigation routes, which in turn leads to reduced fuel consumption. Furthermore the sea charts can easily be updated via the C-MAP Update Service, which minimizes time-consuming and costly efforts that are associated with the necessary and mandatory updating of sea charts. The DM-800E is currently underWheelmark Type Approval DNV, and complies with the requirements enacted by the IMO regarding the installation of ECDIS on existing ships. ECDIS DM-800E has been developed specifically for retrofit installations, and has apart from the well-known advantages of ECDIS, a number of other advantages and services.

RADIO BEACON
SAILOR SE-II and SGE-II EPIRBs Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon The SAILOR SE-II and SGE-II Satellite EPIRBs are satellite distress beacons designed to operate in conjunction with the Cospas-Sarsat international satellite search and rescue system. The SE-II and the SGE-II is identical except for the GPS built into the the SGE-II, which improves the accurasy of the position transmitted to shore when activated. The EPIRBs are supplied with either a manual release bracket or with an automatic hydrostatic release bracket, which will automatically release the EPIRB in situation where the vessel is sinking. This system locates beacons transmitting on the 406MHz frequency to within 5km (3nm). Once Search And Rescue (SAR) units are at the distress scene the beacon's 121.5MHz homing transmitter and it's high intensity xenon strobe light aid final location even in poor visibility. SAILOR 406MHz Satellite EPIRB is fully compatible with the Cospas-Sarsat and Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) regulations and meets the requirements A810 (19) of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO).

VHF RADIO
VHF Radio Communication When it comes to VHF radio, professional mariners trust SAILOR. VHF is one of the most important safety and operational tools for any professional or leisure vessel, so it is vital that you choose a system designed to work in the often harsh maritime environment. Built to last SAILOR VHF radios are built to last. Many vessels still depend on SAILOR VHF fitted two decades ago and today's generation offers that same hard-wearing, rugged reliability. Operation, installation possibilities and functionality have certainly moved on though, thanks' to Thrane & Thrane's position as a pioneer in VHF technology. Take for instance the SAILOR Replay functionality, which stores the previous 240 seconds of communication for the user to recall at the touch of a button. Considering the environments that our radios are used in, this feature has the ability to enhance safety and operations on any vessel. New technology Then there is ThraneLINK, our new network protocol developed to enable further integration of communication and safety systems. A SAILOR VHF in a ThraneLINK network can be installed with ease, updated via the internet and be maintained from a single point of entry, helping you to save time and money in servicing. Feature rich and rugged, we have also ensured that there is a SAILOR VHF for everybody; from a standard workhorse radio through to DSC, GMDSS, FCC and ATEX. Everything from oil & gas platforms, offshore vessels and tankers to fishing vessels, superyachts and leisure boats set sail with SAILOR VHF radios on board.
