ACOUSTIC INSULATION WORK
The Lambda A sound reduction system is designed to provide noise-protection to an area, and can be delivered as an acoustic curtains and installation system, as well as acoustic cassettes fitted on a scaffolding frame. Lambda A - Acoustic insulation can also be delivered as flexible jackets and boxes for valves, flanges, pipes, pumps or other equipment to reduce noise to an acceptable level in a process environment. The reduction effect for the sound curtain is up to 20 dB in high frequency environment, and has been tested and approved according to NORSOK classes 6 and 7. Acoustic tests have also been carried out to C1 for both boxes and jackets at Peutz Laboratories, including combination classes (e.g. thermal and acoustic, fire and acoustic). We have tested and documented acoustic insulation to C1 of piping with 40mm Aerogel and Acoustic barrier – the slimmest solution tested.

MONITON SYSTEMS A monitor system is a fast acting fire protection system used primarily to protect against rapid fire spread in high risk areas. Due to their specialized nature and compact size, monitor systems typically replace deluge systems in high risk areas or areas with limited space, though both systems can work together as well. Monitor systems may also be used for helicopter deck protection and in other large areas to increase fire protection of those areas. A monitor system is also versatile enough to be adapted to extinguish pool fires by mixing foam into the water supply at a specific flow. DAHR SYSTEMS The Firenor Dual Agent Hose Reel (DAHR) is a high quality supplemental fire extinguishing device intended for manual use against smaller fires on and in the vicinity of helicopter decks, as well as areas with high risk of hydrocarbon fires where the primary fixed firefighting system may have limited reach. The DAHR unit combines a foam solution with compatible dry chemicals to produce a mixture that is highly efficient at extinguishing fires involving flammable liquids and offers excellent re-ignition control. When this mixture is deployed, the dry powder rapidly knocks out the fire while the foam solution secures the hazard and contributes to the cooling of the fuel.

All raw materials included in the production process is converted to high-grade insulation material. Isover ULTIMATE – new generation of mineral wool: SAINT-GOBAIN ISOVER is a world wide manufacturer of traditional glass and stone wool insulation materials. It has developed in a multi-year R&D program a new technology to produce a brand new material: ULTIMATE. Highlight of this innovation is the combination of both performances. Benefits of Isover Glass Wool – lightweight, very efficient thermal and acoustic insulation, high elasticity and compressibility – are combined with benefits of Isover Stone Wool - Resistance to Fire and high temperature application. . ULTIMATE is predestined for the usage in light weight structures. Weight reductions up to 50% by fulfilling at the same time thermal, acoustic and fire requirements compared to mainly used stone wool. Depending on the Offshore project weight savings of 60t have been calculated. This new generation of mineral wool is a Non-Combustible material and it fulfils fire protection requirements on steel and aluminium constructions with fire resistance up to A 60. Additionally ULTIMATE has excellent advantages in mounting and fixing. Due to its robustness and flexibility it is very easy and fast to install by having a low amount of waste material at the same time. Due to its Maximum Service Temperature up to 650°C, it is also applicable for high temperature applications. Full scale fire tests with composite material protected by ULTIMATE have been carried out. FRD 60 Deck and FRD 60-Bulkhead protected by ULTIMATE with a low gram weight showed the fire resisting properties in an impressive way. ULTIMATE was granted the health related EUCEB and RAL Quality Mark. ULTIMATE is a new opportunity of saving dead weight at sea.

Ultra Fog’s reliable, fast acting extinguishing system can be integrated with on board monitoring and detection systems to maximise the ability to detect and control a fire incident on board. Ultra Fog uses a reduced quantity of water, and has an unlimited discharge time, which enables the vessel to cope effectively even with the most serious fire event. Ultra Fog systems use water, so are non-toxic and can be safely discharged without the need to evacuate passengers and crew. The small quantity of water used in the Ultra Fog system, in areas such as Ro-Ro decks, will not compromise stability of the vessel while minimising clean up and downtime. From a shipbuilder’s perspective Ultra Fog has recently tested and gained IMO and Class approval for a new high performing nozzle, which can protect up to 48m2 with a single nozzle. This wider spacing passes on a huge saving to the customer in reducing the cost and time required for system installation. As a turnkey solution, Ultra Fog has emerged as ‘Best in Class’ in terms of price, quality and water/power consumption requirements.

Dette gir stor sikkerhet for at anlegget også fungerer i en brannsituasjon. *Det er ikke behov for sveising i forbindelse med montering av systemet. *På grunn av den store kjøleeffekten som vanntåken gir, kan brannmannskap lettere komme frem for eventuell berging av personer. *Det er ikke behov for at rom skal være «tett» da systemet også fungerer om f. eks. dører blir stående åpne.
