Whilst our coatings are corrosion preventive, any existing rust must first be removed.

More importantly, our products adhere to old intact coatings.

They are also moisture tolerant, and dry under water, thus saving valuable time, and improving productivity.

Jak. J. Alveberg AS has been providing solutions for corrosion protection of metals since its inception in 1917, and this remains one of our most important areas. Today we supply corrosion protection paints to areas such as: Ballast tanks on ships. Galvanized high voltage masts. Steel structures in the hydropower sector. FIRE PROTECTION
Jak. J. Alveberg was first out with fire-retardant paints in Norway and as early as 1947 one of our products underwent testing at the Norwegian Fire Laboratory. The testing resulted in approval for use as a fire protection on structural steel structures in buildings. We have continued this tradition and today we are a leading supplier of fire protection paints and varnishes for: - Three - Steel - Electric cables Your safety is our goal There is little doubt that in our modern society there has been an increasing danger of fire in a number of areas. As a consequence, the focus on fire protection and limitation of the extent of fire damage has therefore also increased. KBS's products are primarily used to minimize the damage in the event of fire by preventing the spread to adjacent rooms and areas.

SEALANTS
Jak. J. Alveberg offers a range of sealants and membranes to the building and construction sector. The best known is perhaps our Polyurethane sealant "Vulkem 116" which is kind look ernes favorite when there are strict requirements for quality under difficult conditions. Vulkem 116 is in addition to being kind ernes favorite look too great for many other joint work at the construction site: The booklets on most surfaces without primer, can be painted and can withstand constant immersion in water. Vulkem 116 meets or exceeds all relevant industry standards for sealants in terms of adhesion, flexibility and durability.

WATERTANKS

Portable Watertanks
Jak. J. Alveberg as have a number of products for these areas. These products have the English WRC drinking water approval.

The least expensive solution is the tried and tested bituminous product NWC. This is a product with more than 30 years track record.

We can also supply a state of the art solvent free epoxy solution, namely Versapox.
