CONSULTING AND ENGINEERING SERVICES
LMG Marin has offered independent marine consulting and engineering services for more than sixty years. Our designs and specifications have led to the construction of more than one thousand vessels of various types. Having pioneered the design of offshore service vessels in the 1970s – such as harsh environment platform supply vessels and anchor handlers – we moved into design of heavy duty offshore drilling rigs and production vessels in the 1990s. Today LMG Marin offers complete engineering packages and assist clients through every stage of projects such as: • Commercial vessels • Ferries and ropax vessels • High speed vessels • Ships powered by gas / LNG • Offshore vessels for drilling, production • Vessels for specialized services • Naval ships • Conversions and new buildings

SURVEY
Construction of new ships To assure the quality of new constructions LMG Marin offers ship owners complete services, including tender evaluation, contract negotiations, supervision, acceptance tests and delivery and guarantee follow-ups. Engineering packages are also offered, and inspections and follow-ups are carried out on behalf of finance institutions and others, to establish progress and/or present value. Ships in service Technical management with preparations for – and supervision of – maintenance, repairs and conversions in shipyards are offered to ship owners. Condition surveys and inspections of ships in service are frequently carried out for flag states, insurance companies, cargo owners and others. Cranes and lifting gear LMG Marin has official approval and in-house competence for certification of cranes and lifting gear on- and offshore and on ships. A large number of such tasks are undertaken every year, for industry, the Navy and ship owners. Classification service As Non-Exclusive Surveyors to ClassNK, our surveyors carry out several hundred inspections of engines, machinery and equipment every year. Before the IACS tightened their rules and enforced the use of class employees on ships, a considerable number of ship inspections were also carried out for classification societies, including special surveys and newbuilding inspections. Miscellaneous Inspection of damages to ships, cargo, offshore constructions, cranes and other objects are frequently carried out on behalf of owners or insurance companies.
