WELDING APPARATUS
BOLT WELDING BOLT WELDING is a very fast, simple and safe method for fastening fastening material such as threaded bolts, head bolts, threaded sleeves, insulation pins and brackets, there are machines and equipment for welding from ø2mm to ø25mm bolts. There are mainly 3 different bolt welding methods / processes and below is a short simplified overview of these as well as an overview of machines. RESISTANCE WELDING Resistance welding, also called spot welding, simply means that you conduct current via two contact electrodes in copper to the two products you want to join (eg 2 steel plates). The resistance (ohms) in these materials causes them to become hot and melt the same at the point of contact. The method is efficient and provides little degree of deformation and contamination and is well suited for automation. Resistance welding is generally widely used in the thin plate industry when joining plate constructions such as e.g. cabinets, ventilation ducts, stainless steel fittings for commercial kitchens and for car body repairs. There are several variants of resistance welding such as seam welding which uses rolling electrodes instead of dot electrodes and which gives a continuous welding joint, another variant is butt welding where you "butt" weld wire or pipe, a third variant is press welding where you can. weld nuts, screws or brackets.
